Kyle on the banners: Janneke, I think your soft banners are beautiful and poignant and I hope you keep going with them. The act of creating them together makes them even more pressing, collective action and creation and struggle is what we need most right now. I spent my day, still in fact, feeling completely devastated by that footage of helpless Palestinians burning alive in their hospital beds… I just can't shake the inhumanity of it all, can't make any of it make sense. But something that gives me a sense of grounding is thinking of my community, of friendship, they affirm the ways we humans can have value, in our capacity to love and hope and care.
